Kukua Pamoja — Growing together

€35 a month enables a child to go to school — and prevents dropping out due to financial hardship.

Education is priceless and shapes a child's development and future. Our sponsorship project "Kukua Pamoja" (growing together) focuses on children from difficult social and financial circumstances.

Before a child is admitted to the programme, we assess the family's living situation so that support reaches exactly where it is needed most. Children up to the age of four attend our daycare. From the age of five, they move on to Kingdom School, a private school in Arusha, provided a sponsorship is found.

What a sponsorship means

The sponsorship contribution is €35 per month. This amount can be shared among several sponsors. It is especially important to us that sponsors are aware of the duration and responsibility involved.

As a sponsor, you receive a personal update once a year in the form of letters and/or photos. You can also send letters to us (in German or English, photos are welcome), which we translate and pass on to the families. We do not accept material donations due to the cost of shipping to Tanzania.

Please note that costs may change when a child transitions from primary to secondary school.

Current figures

We currently support 223 sponsored children. For 2026 we equipped 120 children with school materials and uniforms. The programme was founded and is coordinated by Esther Ewert, together with Karen Goss in Germany and Doreen Elirehema Nderingo as coordinator in Tanzania.
