Giving Hands
Since Januar 2025We regularly welcome new volunteers from the organisation “Giving Hands” to our project house. They complete their volunteer service in our various projects and bring a great deal of dedication with them.

Since August 2024We regularly welcome new volunteers from VIVA Tanzania to our project house. As part of their volunteer service, they get involved in our projects and enrich our work with their hands-on support.

Since 2021A reliable partner since 2021: most recently the foundation supported us with €8,000 per year. Among other things it finances the health insurance for our employees and seamstresses; five families from the Family Friends project were supported as well.

Since 2026Funding of our anti-violence project (ICC-T) with €10,000 – together with €3,000 of our own funds this adds up to a project budget of €13,000. It finances ten teacher trainings for more than 300 teachers by December 2026.

Since 2023In 2023, Esther Ewert, 1st chairwoman of the NGO Home of Malaika, was honoured with a youth award — including prize money for our work. In 2024, the Rotary Club supported our anti-violence project with a donation of €9,000.

Since 2022German partner association and co-founder of Home of Malaika. It carries the sewing and creative project and supports the women with micro-loans.

Volunteering with us
We regularly welcome volunteers to our project house in Arusha. They support the daycare, the sewing project and the hygiene workshops at schools. If you can imagine doing a volunteer service, get in touch with us - we'll put you in contact with Giving Hands or VIVA Tanzania.
Volunteer story: Janina
„Loving, emotional and unforgettable.“
Janina volunteered with us from 6 February to 26 April 2023. Warmly welcomed by our project coordinators Doreen and Zamzam, she worked in the sewing and creative project, in the KuPa sponsorship programme and joined home visits: she supported the seamstresses, played with the school children in the afternoon programme and helped girls sew reusable sanitary pads.
Her conclusion: “Volunteering does not mean saving the world” – it means learning together and building a more loving community with respect, an open heart and appreciation.
